春半年已除，其余强为有。
即此醉残花，便同尝腊酒。
怅望送春杯，殷勤扫花帚。

Pity It Abides Not!
Du Mu

Spring is on the decline. That spells the end of the year; the remaining days do not count.
I raise my cup to the flowers that are loath to go; even the wine tastes of winter. Distressing the thought: after the parting cup, the broom.
Thus life flows away. If there be anyone to stay its course, tell me who.
